MARK ITKIN
2006 Recipient of the Game Show Congress Award for Career Community Service

One of the biggest supporters of game shows from the executive side of television is the 2006 recipient of the Game Show Congress Ralph Edwards Career Service Award.

Mark Itkin is the executive vice president and worldwide co-head of television at the William Morris Agency. He is also a member of the William Morris Agency board of directors.

Itkin has supervised packaging and distribution of a variety of game shows over the years and remains a strong supporter of their role in the television marketplace.

Itkin graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from UCLA and holds a J.D. from Boalt Hall at University of California at Berkeley.

He worked his way up from the mailroom at the William Morris Agency to assistant agent, packaging agent (specializing in first-run syndication, pay and basic cable television), vice president in charge of first-run syndication, senior vice president, executive vice president and worldwide head of television.

Itkin is a two-term governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences and a member of the NATPE executive board. He is also on the board of directors of Cedars-Sinai Hospital and for the Zimmer's Children's Museum.

Itkin's support and dedication to the AIDS Research Alliance makes him a much worthy recipient of the Game Show Congress' 2006 Ralph Edwards Award.
